Feb 7 and 8: Landowner Liability & Recreational Uses Talk
N.H. Fish and Game Executive Director Glenn Normandeau will be among the panelists in an upcoming workshop on "Landowner Liability & Recreational Uses," sponsored by the N.H. February 9, 2012 - Free Winter Indoor Archery League Starts in Holderness N.H.
Space remains in the four-week archery league that will meet on Thursday evenings starting February 9, 2012, at Owl Brook. February 11, 2012: Make Your Own Fly Reel Workshop in Concord
An opportunity to make your own fly reel and help New Hampshire's Trout in the Classroom program is returning Saturday, February 11, at the Shaker Road School in Concord. The second annual Reelsmithing Workshop, led by Michael Hackney of the Eclectic Angler, is being hosted by the Basil Woods Jr. Chapter and the New Hampshire Trout Unlimited Council. 12:00 noon - 1:30 p.m. Free program for adults features Dr. Cathy Neal, author of "The Best Plants for New Hampshire Gardens and Landscapes," presenting "Landscaping at the Water's Edge: An Ecological Approach." February 24, 2012: Winter Ice Fishing Class Begins in Manchester
N.H. Fish and Game ’s Let’s Go Fishing Program, in partnership with other groups, will offer several free ice fishing classes open to the public this winter. Be sure to call ahead to reserve your space. A class begins in Manchester on February 24. Click here for more information.
February 29: Deadline for Scheduling a Free Spring 2012 Classroom Wildlife Program
Teachers who want to introduce their students in grades 3-6 to New Hampshire’s wildlife resources, or reinforce wildlife-related lessons, have until February 29 to request spring 2012 Wonders of Wildlife (WOW) presentations by trained N.H. Discover WILD New Hampshire Day, Fish and Game's biggest community event of the year, is set for Saturday, April 21. This free, family-friendly Earth Day event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the grounds of the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department at 11 Hazen Drive in Concord, N.H.
